Many IT specialist jobs offer competitive wages and benefits, such as health and vision benefits and paid holidays. IT support technicians may be promoted to supervisors and eventually managers, although it depends on the company’s structure. The position itself is considered entry-level by many within the IT community.

IT specialists may find careers in a variety of fields. In particular, computer support specialists will often find work in companies that provide IT solutions to a wide range of clients.
